Create My Child's PageAbout this coloring page
Jesus stands close to a man, His fingers gently placed in the man's ears. The man's eyes are closed, and his face shows concentration — as if he is straining to hear something for the first time. A small group of people watch nearby, some leaning in, some with hands clasped in prayer. The setting is simple and outdoor, with a few trees and a dirt path. This page captures the healing of the deaf man from Mark 7 — one of the most intimate healing miracles in the Gospels, where Jesus took the man aside privately before healing him. The quiet intimacy of the scene, the man's expression, and the watching crowd give kids a page that rewards careful coloring.
Suggested Scripture: Mark 7:35 (NIV) — At this, the man's ears were opened, his tongue was loosened and he began to speak plainly.
The page is designed as a printable Christian coloring activity that can support a short Bible conversation, a family devotional moment, or a calm classroom activity.

Create a personalized Jesus coloring pageTeaching ideas for parents and teachers
- Before coloring, ask kids what they think the first sound was that the man heard after being healed. Most will say Jesus' voice.
- For ages 5–7: keep it simple. The man couldn't hear. Jesus touched his ears, and he could. Jesus opens what was closed.
- For Sunday school: focus on the fact that Jesus took him aside privately. Ask, "Why do you think Jesus healed him away from the crowd? What does that tell you about how Jesus treats people?"
- For family devotion: read Mark 7:31–37. Ask, "What's one thing in our family that feels 'closed' — a relationship, a conversation, a door — that we could ask Jesus to open?"
Print and activity tips
- Color the scene in warm, outdoor tones — this happened on a road, not in a temple.
- Keep Jesus' expression focused and tender; this is a private moment even with people watching.
- Color the man's face in a mix of concentration and emerging wonder — he's about to hear for the first time.
Discussion questions
- Jesus took the man aside privately before healing him. Why do you think He did that?
- The first thing the man heard was probably Jesus' voice. What do you think Jesus said to him?
- Have you ever had something "open up" for you — a new understanding, a repaired relationship, a new ability?
- The crowd was told not to tell anyone, but they couldn't stop talking. Have you ever tried to keep good news quiet and failed?
- What's one thing you wish you could hear more clearly — from God, from someone you love, from yourself?
