Create My Child's PageAbout this coloring page
Jesus kneels with His hands folded together and His head slightly bowed. His eyes are closed, and His face is peaceful. He's alone — no crowd, no scenery, just a simple background suggesting a quiet place. The page is drawn with clean, simple lines for younger kids. The folds of His robe, His folded hands, and the soft background give kids gentle work while the prayerful posture stays central.
Suggested Scripture: Matthew 6:6 (NIV) — But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
The page is designed as a printable Christian coloring activity that can support a short Bible conversation, a family devotional moment, or a calm classroom activity.

Create a personalized Jesus coloring pageTeaching ideas for parents and teachers
- Before coloring, ask kids what Jesus does when no one is watching. The Gospels say He prays — often, alone, sometimes for hours.
- For ages 5–7: keep it simple. Jesus prayed. A lot. If even Jesus prayed, we should pray too.
- For Sunday school: focus on the secret part. Jesus said pray in private, where only God sees. Ask, "Why does God care about prayer that no one else sees?"
- For family devotion: read Matthew 6:5–13. Then have a minute of silent prayer together — no words out loud, just everyone praying privately at the same time.
Print and activity tips
- Use warm, soft tones for Jesus' robe.
- Keep the background almost blank — a soft color or a faint horizon line is enough.
- Color His face peacefully; this isn't a desperate prayer, just a quiet conversation with God.
Discussion questions
- Jesus prayed even though He was God. What does that tell you about prayer?
- What's the difference between praying out loud in front of people and praying alone?
- What's one place where you feel comfortable praying?
- Have you ever prayed and felt like God was really listening?
- If you could pray about anything right now, what would you pray about?
