- Before coloring, ask kids what they think the sparrows are feeling. Most will say "safe" or "hungry." Then ask why they're not afraid of Jesus.
- For ages 5–7: keep it simple. God feeds the birds. And God feeds you too. You're even more important to God than the birds.
- For Sunday school: focus on the "do not worry" context of this verse. Jesus is teaching about anxiety. Ask, "What's one thing you worry about that God could take care of?"
- For family devotion: read Matthew 6:25–34. Then have each family member name one thing they're going to stop worrying about this week.
Print and activity tips
- Color the sparrows in soft browns and grays — natural sparrow colors — with tiny white spots on the wings.
- Use warm tans and grays for the courtyard stones; they should feel old and peaceful.
