Create My Child's PageAbout this coloring page
A simple wooden cross stands at the center of this page with a large heart shape drawn around it — the cross forms the vertical line of the heart, and a curved line completes the shape on either side. The background is plain, with a few small stars or dots scattered around. There are no figures, no scenery — just the cross, the heart, and the space between them. This is one of the most symbolic pages in the set, designed for younger kids or for moments that call for simplicity. The heart outline gives kids a clear boundary to work within, and the cross stays bold and straightforward.
Suggested Scripture: John 3:16 (NIV) — For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
The page is designed as a printable Christian coloring activity that can support a short Bible conversation, a family devotional moment, or a calm classroom activity.

Create a personalized Jesus coloring pageTeaching ideas for parents and teachers
- Before coloring, ask kids why the heart is drawn around the cross. They should figure it out: the cross is how God showed His love.
- For ages 5–7: this is a perfect page for the simplest version of the gospel. God loves us. Jesus showed us how much. That's the whole story.
- For Sunday school: focus on John 3:16. Ask, "What does 'so loved' mean? How much is 'so much'?"
- For family devotion: read John 3:16. Then have each family member finish this sentence: "God loves me enough to..."
Print and activity tips
- Color the heart in soft reds or pinks — it should feel warm, not harsh.
- Keep the cross in brown or deep red; it should stand out inside the heart.
- Add small white dots or stars in the background to suggest heaven's presence without being busy.
Discussion questions
- Why do you think the artist put the cross inside a heart instead of next to it?
- John 3:16 says God "gave" His Son. What does it mean to give someone like that?
- Have you ever loved someone enough to give up something for them? What was it?
- The heart is one shape, but it has two sides. What does that say about how God's love works?
- If you could draw one symbol around the cross to show what it means to you, what would you draw?
